Soothing Fennel Hair Rinse
It's Therapy Thursday and today I am sharing a recipe from Homemade Mommy for a Soothing Fennel Hair Rinse for dry, itchy scalps.
Ingredients 1 Tbsp fennel seeds 1 cup filtered water, boiled 1/4 cup raw apple cider vinegar 2 tbsp vegetable glycerin
Method Put the water in a small pot over high heat.
While you are waiting for the water to boil, crush the fennel seeds with a mortar and pestle (or the back of a spoon). Place the crushed fennel seeds in a small bowl and pour the hot water over them. Let steep for at least 30 mins.
Once steeped, add in the apple cider vinegar and vegetable glycerin and mix well.
Filter your tonic through a sieve or piece of cheesecloth and pour into a glass jar.
Store in a cool, dark cupboard for up to 2 months.
To use, pour over your dry or wet hair and let sit for at least 5 minutes. Gently massage into scalp using a circular motion with the pads of your fingers, then rinse out.
